Privacy: what is shared and how it ends

Your student stays in control.

What you can see

Only what your student has chosen to share with you: their dashboard and their reports, exactly as they see them. You see nothing of students who have not invited you (or accepted your invitation). When a student invites you, or accepts your invitation, EduPeak records that choice with the date and time. The student can always see who follows them. Sharing is never switched on silently.

What you cannot see or change

  • You cannot take, start or change a test, an answer or a setting in your student’s account.
  • You cannot see their password or sign in as them — each person has their own account.
  • You cannot see other children, rankings or comparisons — EduPeak does not make them.
  • Your child sees only your name, your relation and the date you started following, in their Share your journey window — nothing else of your account. Following is one way: you look at their work, not the other way round.

Who else can see your child’s reports

A student can share with up to 10 Well-wishers. If your child joins a batch at a coaching institute or school that uses EduPeak, teachers at that institute can also see their dashboards and reports, read-only — your child is told this and agrees when they join the batch. Your child’s Share your journey window lists everyone who can see their progress.

How sharing ends

Your student decides. In their Share your journey window, under Who’s following you now, each Well-wisher has a Remove button. The window explains: Remove anyone anytime — access ends instantly; your consent record stays yours.

Figure 28. In the student’s own account: Sunita is listed under Who’s following you now, with Remove (1).

If your student removes you, their card disappears from Your students. If you open an old link to their pages, EduPeak shows Student not found — You may not have access to this student any more.

Figure 29. What you see if a student is no longer sharing with you.
