Well-wisher Manual · Chapter 3 of 11 For parents & guardians

Inviting your student yourself

When your child is not on EduPeak yet — and following more than one child.

If your child is not on EduPeak yet, you can invite them. You are asking them two things: to start on EduPeak, and to let you follow along. They get their own free account — their tests, their reports — and they are asked to agree before anything is shared.

Getting a Well-wisher account first

If you do not have an EduPeak account yet, create one on edupeak.org. On the Create your account page, under How will you use EduPeak?, choose I’m following a student (Parent · Guardian · Private teacher). The page explains: You’ll see a student’s dashboards and reports exactly as they see them, read-only — once they accept. You can invite your student yourself, or they can invite you. You never take a test, and one account can follow all your children.

Sending the invitation

On My Students, press Invite a student → (on an empty page the button reads Invite your student →). Then:

  1. Type your child’s email in Their email address (1). The link will only work for this email.
  2. Under How are you related?, choose I’m their parent, I’m their guardian or I’m their private teacher (2).
  3. Press Send invite (3).
Figure 7. Sunita invites her daughter Riya: email (1), relation (2), Send invite (3).

The page now says Invitation ready 🎉. Unlike the invitation your child sends you, EduPeak does not email this one — the yellow note says You’ll send this one yourself 💛. Press Share on WhatsApp to open your own WhatsApp with the message ready, or Copy to paste it into SMS or email. Then press Done.

Figure 8. The invitation is ready: send it from your own WhatsApp, or copy it.

The message is written in your voice. It begins Hi 👋 It’s Sunita. I’d like you to try EduPeak…, explains that it is free to start and the account would be theirs, and asks their permission: as your parent I would see your dashboard and reports, view only, and you can stop sharing anytime.

What your child does

Your child opens the link, creates their account (or signs in) with the email you invited, and sees a page headed Your practice starts here. Before they can press Start practising →, they must tick a box that begins I understand and agree that you, as their parent, will be able to see their dashboards and reports. That tick is their consent, recorded with the date and time. As soon as they accept, they appear on your Your students page.

Invitations still waiting

Until your child accepts, the invitation is listed on My Students under Invited, not joined yet, with the date it expires. Press Copy invite to see the link and message again, or Cancel to withdraw it.

Following more than one child

One account can follow all your children. Each child either invites you (to the same email) or you invite each of them. They all appear as separate cards on Your students.

  • You can follow up to five students at once. Invitations you have sent that are still waiting count towards the five.
  • You can send up to five invitations a day.
  • When you reach the limit, EduPeak tells you. Cancelling a waiting invitation frees a place.
